Privacy policy

This policy describes what data the sklop service ("we") processes on the sklop.app website, why, and how you can manage it. By using the website, you agree to this policy.

What data we store

Account data. Email address, display name, password hash (the password itself is not stored). When you sign in with Google, also your Google account ID, name and avatar link from your Google profile.

Profile settings. Time zone, language, date and time format, interface settings.

Your entries. Everything you add to the service yourself: boards and their widgets, tasks, recurring tasks and check-offs, goals and metrics, notes, diary entries, tags, focus sessions, and the names and time zones of people in the world clock widget.

Technical data. To keep you signed in, we store a hash of the session token and its validity period. Application error reports are sent to the Sentry error monitoring service without email addresses and without one-time tokens from links.

Why

• so you can sign in and use your boards on any device;
• to send service emails: address confirmation and password reset;
• to find and fix errors;
• to understand how people use the website and improve it (analytics).

We do not sell data and do not use your entries for advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

• Session cookie. Required for signing in, set only after you sign in, accessible only to the sklop server.
• Browser storage. Color theme, pomodoro timer state and a mark that you have seen the cookie notice. This data does not leave your device.
• Analytics cookies. Set by Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics, see below.

Analytics

We use Yandex Metrica (Yandex LLC) and Google Analytics (Google LLC). They receive anonymized visit information: page address, referral source, device and browser type, approximate location based on IP address, and actions on the page.

In the private part of the service (boards, settings, sign-in), page addresses are sent to analytics without parameters and without board identifiers. Metrica Webvisor session recording works only on public pages; in the private part, screen content and form input are hidden from it.

You can opt out of analytics by blocking these services' cookies in your browser or by installing a blocker. The sklop service keeps working fully.

Who receives the data

Only providers without which the service cannot work:

• hosting and delivery network (the website runs through Cloudflare);
• the Resend mailing service: it receives your email address to send service emails;
• Sentry: error reports;
• Yandex and Google: analytics, as described above;
• Google: sign-in with a Google account, if you chose it.

The AI export sends nothing on its own: the text is copied to the clipboard, and you decide where to paste it.

Storage and deletion

Data is stored as long as your account exists. To delete your account and all entries, write to [email protected] from the address linked to the account. You can also send a request there to find out what data about you is stored, or ask to correct it.

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, and the date of the last change is shown below.
